What is Archiving?

Point Video Productions provides one year of free archiving in each of our packages. The practice of archiving is essential for a video production that needs to be kept relevant, fresh, and accurate over time. As organizations go through internal changes or have new initiatives, the need for updated videos often arises. If your video is archived, then this process is simple.

The original raw footage and edited segments from your previously produced video are stored on a hard drive in digital form. This enables simple changes, such as an update to a speaker's name and title. It also allows for complex changes, such as re-editing of original segments or the addition of new footage to existing segments. Without archiving, this process would essentially require starting from scratch. While changes may need to be made within the first year, they often occur several years down the road. Ultimately through archiving, updated videos can easily be created with minimal cost to your organization.

Point Video Productions strongly urges you to continue archiving. As your first year of free service expries, PVP will ask you to renew your archiving membership. For more information about archiving feel free to contact Point Video Productions.
