GWARC: Greater Waltham ARC
Serving the community of Waltham, GWARC provides Services to developmentally disabled adults and their families through a wide spectrum of programs. The following are excerpts from a video package that was produced to aid in orientating new hires, volunteers, and potential consumers. It has also been used for corporate fundraising and to illustrate to current sponsors how GWARC continues to move forward.
GWARC also has plans to air the 30-minute version on Waltham cable to the community at large.
Point Video Productions took the time to get to know Greater Waltham Arc, our mission and our consumers. This resulted in a video that puts a face and voice on what GWARC accomplishes in our daily work and going forward.
Director Peter Cancilla helped us to conceptualize our agency video to capture the information and the message we wanted to communicate to viewers. From pre-production to the final product, our agency found Peter and his staff to be thorough, professional and timely.
Point Video Productions has created a product we can use for both training of staff, as an overview of the agency, and as a marketing tool as we extend our outreach to corporate and community connections. Well be looking to Point Video in the future to be part of further informational resources as we need them.

P.L.U.S. Group Homes
Headquartered in Merrick, New York, P.L.U.S. has established and maintains group homes throughout Long Island, serving adults with autism. It is P.LU.S Group Homes mission to empower these individuals by improving their social and communication skills while integrating them into their community. Donations and grants enable P.L.U.S to provide more to their consumers than the federal and state funding covers, including local and long-distance trips, attendance of shows and cultural events, and social gatherings both in the homes and out in the community. The first of the following three videos was commissioned to educate and inform potential donors at a fundraising dinner. The additional two video montages are used by P.L.U.S as Video Thank You Cards to those that have contributed and continue to contribute to P.L.U.S Group Homes and the individuals they support.
It was very touching to watch my son really enjoying himself in so many different situations. As a mother it gives me a great sense of peace to know that he loves participating in the many activities provided by P.L.U.S. Thank you so much for having made such a meaningful video!

Most people have no idea of what life in a group home is like so your portrayal is truly illuminating and educational. I know it was a wonderful eye-opener for my sons cousins just as it was for the donors at the recent P.L.U.S. dinner/dance. It will be such a pleasure for us to show your video to our friends. It will quickly accomplish what words are inadequate to describe.

As the Director of Residential Services for P.L.U.S. Group Homes, watching the agency documentary was quite moving. The film was able to capture the true essence of the work we do and the services we provide. More importantly, it depicted the true lives of disabled individuals and how valuable and meaningful those lives are.
I know when I have difficult days on the job, I will be able to watch the film and realize how important our work is and how we need to persevere so that our individuals can continue to enjoy their, happy, valuable, and meaningful lives.
Bravo to the filmmakers - The film brought tears to my eyes and inspiration for the future.Stacey OBrien

The video presentation of P.L.U.S. Group Homes was concise, yet wonderfully informative and touchingperfect to show at our fundraiser. What made the presentation even more valuable was the manner in which informative interviews were interspersed with vivid imagery. Those who saw the video presentation left the event much more knowledgeable about the agency and the lives of those with autism that we serve on a daily basis. A great, great experience for all in attendance.
